Rubber Expansion Joints are flexible connectors within pipes. The expansion joints also give lateral and axial movement. Rubber expansion joints reduce vibration and also lessens sound transmission. They also provide thermal stability. Rubber expansion joint also compensate for misalignment. They can be made in different materials like Neoprene, Viton, Nitrile, EPDM, etc. The inner lining is made of synthetic rubber or Neoprene rubber or Nitrile Rubber depending upon its application. Different layers of synthetic cord are inserted depending on the Working Pressure required. They are inserted in rigid piping systems which improves movement. Rubber expansion joints have variety of names like rubber bellows, rubber joints, expansion joints, single sphere flexible connections. Rubber expansion joints are also available in form of single arch expansion joints and double arch expansion joints.
